EAA = Essential Amino Acids
Essential amino acids are indispensable for muscle building and recovery. Especially after long endurance sessions and intense training sessions, physically active people have an increased need and should supplement EAAs, because essential amino acids cannot be produced by the body itself. They should be obtained through diet or specifically through supplements.
Our EAAs consist of the 8 essential amino acids that cannot be produced by the body on its own and therefore must be consumed through diet. In addition to the essential amino acids, which are the basic building blocks of proteins, our EAAs also contain the important BCAAs leucine, isoleucine, and valine.
